Best of the Middle Grade Blogs: April 22

I had high blogging hopes this week but fell short. I'm one of those people who throws lots of balls in the air and tries to catch them all at the same time. I'm a terrible multi-tasker and I get distracted easy by new projects, ideas, shiny objects, etc.

How do you multi-task? I need tips people.

I'm almost finished with my manuscript so I can send it to the agents that requested partials and yet my other WIP keeps calling to me, consuming my thoughts. GET OUT, get out, GET OUT! Plus I'm training for my first half marathon. The race is next Saturday. Am I nervous? Yup.

On an unrelated but important note: Happy Easter Everybody [bawk, bawk].

  1. Great links as usual! Thanks for mentioning my blog.

I don't have any multitasking tips, I'm not very good at it anymore, especially when obsessed with my revisions the way I am lately.

Good luck with your marathon training!

  2. Wow, this is a thorough list! How do you do that?! And comment...I found you through Anita's MG blog.

Have you taken the Meyers-Briggs personality test? I bet you're close to me: ENFP. I have the same issue with multi-tasking and dropping everything and catching the scent of a great new idea.

It's hard, it really is, but the best way I have been able to work forward is to let some things go by me. Some opportunities I have said no to, some wonderful ideas I have jotted notes about and then said goodbye for now. You may regret a few missed things later on, but let me reassure you that that lamenting does not feel nearly as bad as the failing at everything because you're just trying not to drown.

    Yeah.
